Vote abandon is not, you’re right. Vote kick is your get out for free card. Takes 15 minutes before you can vote abandon but only after 5 minutes can you vote kick. If a vote kick passes all players can leave without penalty. The person who is kicked has no penalties either.

In cases like this the inclusion of the vote abandon / vote kick kinda work against their purpose. I personally think the vote abandon should only be an option after a set number of wipes. That way after one wipe you don’t have the ADHD member of the party voting after one unfortunate event.

It’s very rare for me to ever vote abandon . Be it initiating it or voting yes on someone elses. I understand some people just don’t got the fights down 100% and am 100% ok with that.
