11/28/2013 · Tax is $0 because that’s referring to domestic USA tax. Since you are buying from overseas, you don’t get charged USA taxes. However if your item is declared as over $1000AUD, you will get slugged 10% GST by Customs in Australia.

It really depends where you live and if there are any taxes. Since I was in AUS, if I was to import an Aqua Terra from the US (Jomashop) I would have had to pay A$5150 + Jomashop’s crazy shipping fees (~A$200) + 10% import taxes on all of that. So it’ll be close to A$5900 AUD.
I called Jomashop once more to arrange this and was told explicitly by a representative that New York would charge $20 in tax. Naturally I was annoyed, and in the only pleasant conversation I had with any representative there, I managed to negotiate an additional $30 – $20 to offset the tax and $10 presumably to compensate me for my troubles.

However, they sell them outside of the originally intended distribution channel. This is how Jomashop can sell new watches at significantly lower prices than a dealer.
